Union Yes Retreat and Training Centre, Lundu..?

A nice place to visit, highly recommended for youngsters like us whom have limited budget.. better than stayin in damai beach i would say.. with the hostel room, which is equipped with 8 beds, made up of 4 double deckers, it is really comfortable and is worth it as it only costs RM120 per night.. look for 8 ppl to join you for the trip, it actually only costs only RM15 per person each night.. cheap isnt it? Besides, it has a canteen with foods sold at quite a reasonable price,a swimming pool, pool table, astro, dvd player, ktv( comin soon ) and of course its near to the beach.. to be precise, it is built jus on front of Hua Seng banglow. Operated by Sarawak Bank Employees Union, sorry to say that they do not rent to students or schools.. tats wad i heard.. This time, the trip is really a memorable and a quite meaningful one for me and al of my friends i would say.. we went there for 3 days 2 nights, that is from 19 June to 21 June 2006.. wad day is tat? 19 June is the day when UPU result is released.. we cant have any signal there so basically we are cut off from the outside world when we are there until we came down to Lundu town tat night for dinner.. why i say this trip was a meaningful one? from UPSR to SPM til STPM result release, most of us wil be at home or with family waiting for the results and they wil be the first one to know wad are the results we got.. and feel happy for us.. but this time, all of us, friends for such long time.. long time brothers i would say.. are together when the results are released.. though we only get to know it when we get downtown lundu for dinner that night, still remember our handphones start to shout at us after we passed the wooden bridge.. we got news that results are released and some of us begin to check their own application status.. for those who managed to get into Uni, of course they are happy and thankful that they are being given a chance; for those who didnt managed to get in, of course at that moment, disappointment and sorrow and even mad may fill their heart.. but wadever it is, life must go on.. we must face the fact that we are faced with.. so my dear friends, face the fact with courage, NoBody WalKs AlOnE.. we will always stay beside you all.. carry on with the appeal and never give up.. Life doesnt ends here.. there is always an alternative.. so go for it!! and to those who managed to get into Uni, work towards excellence so that we spend our time in Uni as it was always meant to be.. tat is to get something out of the time we spent.. not wasting it!! think of those who didnt get a chance.. isnt wasting time in Uni a sin? to those who wasnt given a chance?
Dinner that night was really dull i would say.. as me myself was in a dilema, either to go to USM and do Computer Science as i was offered that, or to stay on in Riam, miri to cont with Automotive Mechatronics.. wasnt in a good mood that night i would say.. hard to make the decision at times like this also..
Day 2.. we went Gunung Gading National PArk for mountain climbing, as we have planned.. we went for the Summit trail.. but, unfortunately, some of us didnt have the stamina to carry on when we reached a stream.. and as the trail was kinda deserted for quite a long time, i decided to pull back and proceed to waterfall for scenery viewing.. and out of nowhere, i became the only one to be biten by leech.. later, we proceeded to waterfall No.7 and then descended from the mountain.. was quite a trip for some of us also..
Day 3.. had breakfast, played pool.. and then as it was rainin dog and cats, we proceede down to Kuching around 12 after checkout and went for a Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift..

Personally, i feel that this time, the trip is really a blessing.. as we are all blessed with the time together, before we all leave for Uni at different part of the nation..we even have a friend from Kelantan, that is Calvin Chang with us together.. rare chance.. i would category it as a final gathering for all of us, at a different way, where we spend time together even when results are released together.. and i think, after this time, we can hardly find chance to have similiar trips again. even if we do, we wont be able to have so much of us able to make it at the same time.. each of us will be busy with our own work, studies and life of course.. so to those who went, hope it wil be a life memory for u and treasure it.. who knows u will laugh when u think back of it.. so long all my friends.. take good care of urselves.. do keep in touch..
