Mass Evacuations
Foretaste of a Future Exodus?
Special Analysis
"World on the Brink?"
Listen to David C. Pack analyze world news in light of Bible prophecy.
In one of the largest evacuations since World War II, nations around the world scramble to evacuate tens of thousands of foreigners trapped in war-torn Lebanon. Helicopters, military ships, ferries and buses are being mobilized into action.
The USS Nashville waits off the coast of Lebanon, ready to send more than 1,000 American citizens to neighboring Cyprus. Five warships and 2,200 Marines are being sent to retrieve an estimated 25,000 U.S. citizens. The British government is preparing to move up to 12,000 of its citizens and 10,000 dual nationals. Nearly 50,000 Canadian citizens are expected to arrive in Cyprus. Many of the more than 20,000 French citizens in Lebanon have escaped to France aboard chartered jumbo jets.
While many are being rescued or have already escaped, some remain trapped. Meanwhile, stranded Lebanese civilians are left to watch their country being torn apart. The number of displaced Lebanese is said to be around 500,000, and hundreds have been killed since the fighting began.

Then there are the Israelis, surrounded on almost all sides, constantly under Hezbollah rocket fire. As Israel fights a two-front war, innocent lives are being lost in both countries.
However, the Middle East is not the only region in chaos. The tens of thousands of people fleeing the crisis in Lebanon are still trapped in an increasingly violent world.
While fighting, hostility and bloodshed have always existed among human beings, the Bible describes a time just ahead when violence will be as prevalent and intense as in the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37), described more than 4,300 years ago: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence” (Gen. 6:5, 11).
When the disciples asked Jesus Christ what world conditions would be like just prior to His Second Coming, He described a time of “wars and rumors of wars,” when “nation shall rise against nation” (Matt. 24:6-7). Events are prophesied to intensify into the Great Tribulation: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved” (Matt. 24:21-22).
Mankind will be brought to the brink of total extinction! Several passages in God’s Word indicate that only ten percent will survive. Notice: “Then said I, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return” (Isaiah 6:11-13).
A massive exodus of survivors—sickly, emaciated, emotionally shattered and confused—will come out of the worst time of human anguish and misery ever experienced. And they will come to understand, upon Christ’s return to set up God’s government upon the earth (Isa. 9:6-7), that all this suffering could have been avoided.
They will learn that the ministers, pastors and priests of this world failed to teach the people what they needed to hear: “Her priests have violated My law, and have profaned My holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them” (Ezekiel 22:26).
How many televangelists have you heard quote I John 5:2-3: “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous”?
How many preach Romans 13:8-10 and explain to their audiences that “love is the fulfilling of the law”—the Ten Commandments?
How many have you heard teach the biblical definition of sin: “For sin is the transgression of the law” (I John 3:4)?
The world’s religionists and theologians love to quote what the apostle Paul wrote in Romans 6:14—“for sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace”—and proclaim that God’s Law is “done away.” However, they conveniently ignore verses 15 to 16: “What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness?”
What is “righteousness”? Here is the Bible definition: “…for all Your commandments are righteousness” (Psa. 119:172). The Ten Commandments are “righteousness”! No wonder Paul called God’s Law “holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good” (Rom. 7:12). Yet churchgoers never hear this from the pulpits of mainstream Christianity. The ministers of traditional Christianity know that if they taught what God’s Word actually says, they would quickly lose members and money!
So many preachers offer soothing words—but no real solutions. No matter their claims, they do not believe the Bible has divine authority.
As world events and conditions intensify, some are taught a fairy-tale “rapture” theory—that Christ will mysteriously “sweep away” His disciples before the Great Tribulation. But this idea is contrary to the Bible.
One day, all human beings will learn about the only way that brings true and lasting peace and prosperity (Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-4).
Though worldwide calamity is coming, a merciful God offers a way of escape (Luke 21:35-36
What is happening in the land of Israel? fightings have been going on violently, killing innocents, destroying buildings, infrastructures and even guard post of UN peacekeeper, killing four of UN peacekeepers... What is happening on Earth? Where is United Nations? or had United Nations turned into an organization uniting nations to encourage war? What is the United Nations Secutiry Council doin? protecting and promoting peace on this land? i don think so... where is and what is United States doin? since she likes so much to interfere ppl's or other nations business? North Korea was just building rockets, testing it..and yet to firing it on other nations and there she is, demanding ppl to abort the project.. and here in middle East, ppl are firing rockets.. from one nation to another.. both from Hezbollah and also Israel.. rockets are like birds flying in skies now.. civilians are like refugees..fearing and wondering when will they get blasted to pieces..air strikes are conducted by Israel forces on Hezbollah, claiming to destroy their stronghold.. Is it true? no one knows.. except those civilins whose homes were destroyed by air strikes.. whose relatives are killed in strikes.. how sad is the world.. this is no difference like wad Nazis did to Poland when they invaded it.. Are we at the brink of World War 3????!! There is such possiblility.. War between religions.. here we are, sitting in front of TVs, coms watchin hundreds of Muslims killed each day in Palestine.. Ppl do have feelings too.. how will they react then? Everything happens for a reason.. why is there terrorists in this world? Musims got nothing to do? they too have families, parents, loved ones.. why are they sacrificing their lives? to kill? suicide bombers? i think its all these, killings of their comrades around the world by other religion in other part of the world, making them feel mad.. but, they too, are killing innocents.. so the ignite flames on the other side.. what is this? u kill me i kill u? what and where is human civilization? its a shame for Homosapiens to roam the earth for such a long time, declaring themselves smartest among all creatures for wad they did.. killing each other.. when will all this stop? what is the best way to stop all these? and who or which nation will stop these? its still a big question mark... o is all these a foretaste of future Exodus? where nations rise against nations? will this war spread to Iran as it has ard went into Lebanon..?? lets wait and see.. when are these so called nations goin to stop..see how many innocents life they plan to waste... hows life taste there... must be chaotic... and we, a malaysians have to be very thankful tat we are away from all these..living peacefully.. and for me, still able to write my thoughts here..'Price for Peace' is really too expensive for us to waste.. its a priviledge we have and build from bodies and souls of those who fight for it.. maybe "price for peace' is a documentary tat i will recommend to all of you.. see how the peace we have today is built, archeived..Free from the Third Reich...Treasure peace, avoid demonstrations and sentiments that will ignite ethinical chaos.. treasure everyday we have.. To those trapped inside a War torn Palestine, Israel and Lebanon, May God be with them.. Long LiVe Peace!!

That's What Friends Are For – Dionne Warwick & Friends
And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you
And if I should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can't remember
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friend are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for
Well you came and opened me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you
And then for the times when we're apart
Well then close your eyes and know
The words are coming from my heart
And then if you cant remember
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
In good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times, for bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times, for bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for
That's what friends are for...

Friendship
Many people will walk in and out of your life.
But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.
Friends Anger is only one letter short of danger
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He, who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much more;
He, who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me...
You brought another friend...
And then there were 3...
We started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle...
There is no beginning or end...
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.
That is why it is called the present.

Tsunami Strikes Again...
Tsunami kills 47 in Indonesia; toll climbing
Witness says wave roared ashore in west Java; India issues warning
JAKARTA, Indonesia - A 6-foot-high tsunami crashed into beach resorts and fishing villages along Indonesia’s Java island Monday, killing at least 47 people, leaving scores missing and sending thousands fleeing to higher ground in terror, witnesses and officials said.
Regional agencies issued bulletins that a 7.7-magnitude undersea earthquake was strong enough to send a killer wave steaming toward the country worst hit by the 2004 tsunami, but they did not reach the victims because the island has no warning system.
The hardest-hit area appeared to be Pangandaran, an idyllic beach resort long popular with local and foreign tourists, where witnesses said people shouted “tsunami, tsunami” and climbed trees or crowded inland mosques as the wave approached.
Rudi Bahro, a local lawmaker, told Metro TV at least 37 people were killed at Pangandaran and “the number is still going up.”
At least one other person died in Puring Bay, approximately 60 miles to the east, said district chief Rustriningsih, adding that another 19 were missing. Metro said nine people were killed in at least two other areas along the coast.
The temblor that spawned Monday’s tsunami was revised upward from magnitude 7.1 to 7.7, the U.S. Geological Survey said late Monday following a review by a seismologist, and was followed by a series of powerful aftershocks.

Oh gosh, its only jus merely 2 yrs+ before the world known tsunami hit our earth on 26 December 2004, taking the lifes of hundreds of thousands around South East Asia and even as far as Sri Lanka. This has left countless peoples, especially those who lost their family members with grief and pain.. and this unfortunate event happen today, 17 July 2006 again.. Imagine how uncertain this life is? No one will ever knows what on earth will happen to ourselves, people around us the next moment.. so! appreciate every moment we have in life.. tats wad we can do...jus imagine.. i had jus went to batu Ferringgi yesterday, 16 July 2006.. a place tat was hit by tsunami in 2004..when we were about to take photos, an old man walk pass and keep on saying 'nanti gambar ada yang tiada kepala punya!!'... don think many noes wad he means... but for me, i think he means those who lost their lifes in 2004 to the tsunami lor.. and they are roaming around at the beaches.. life may seems usual at where tsunami hits, but the memory will always be there... so Treasure Life, Love Urself, and Those Around You.. before its too late... no use regretting..

Prediction About the Future...
Are we able to predict wad is goin to happen to us in future? not to say 20 yrs to come.. near future maybe? tats a tough question i would say.. no one can ever noe wad will happen but we tend to predict.. predicting is not much of use.. so its better we work for it.. better than predicting..
Prediction can be very difficult - especially about the future.

USM, Penang, 2nd week, 2nd day...
>> SEE The Bus? How packed is it? Stil wan to squeeze ppl in.. terrible lar..This is Penang
Second week here in USM penang... finally finished with the orientation week here in USM.. was quite hectic though.. have to run here and there.. but really did trained my stamina well.. everything was so different here.. car plate no. here starts with 'P', food are different, some nice some ok, lots of foods too, and the thing that makes me feels uneasy here is the public transport here.. Its really hell eh... small buses, and i mean mini ones here and even if it is big ones, its only like the CLL wan without air con wan in KCH.. and the worst thing is, they take bus like robbing eh.. ppl squeezing into bus without observing the limit.. at bus stations, bus company workers are shouting to passengers as if we are refugee, wanting to escape the country.. their famous phrase: 'Sungai Dua, USM!! NAIk, NaIk, NaiK' walau eh... even when u are standing, they wil jus ask u to move towards the back and squeeze more ppl in.. Bus drivers can even stop jus by the road side stall with a busload of passengers and then shout to the taukeh ' Cola sejuk satu!!' Wad kinda civilisation is this?? Wondering if they should indicate the max no of passengers somemore with how many sitting and standing while they are ignoring it.. and WHAT THE HECK ARE PENANG LPKP DOIN??? its happening on every bus in Penang!! i jus cant believe it!!! but tats the bus issue.. Sarawakians here are quite united as we have a union called 'shahua' where we will gather together with seniors from sarawak and have dinner.. and i experience the bus 'squeeze' when they brought us shopping jus las Sunday at Komtar and also Gurney Plaza.. ShaHua wil also be organizing a round islang trip this coming sunday for all of us.. wil be nice then.. jus looking forward for it... got a few friends in the same faculty as me from Sarawak as well too.. namely Peter from Green Road and also Chun Ling from Stampin.. and of course west malaysian friends.. some chinese from perak, malays from all over malaysia... from perlis to johor... haha... Food inside USM is also quite ok i would say... jus hope i wont be a Malay in 3 yrs time.. cos mostly are malay food here... some are nice some are not.. at my hostel o Desa they called it.. its not very nice.. but here in USM, i have got the priviledge to choose food from 6 Desas.. so pratcically i have tried all of it though have to walk far for some.. even goin up and down hills... only one stall selling chinese food here.. haven tried it though... but wil try it asap.. Here, i would also like to thank my friend, whom is much much more older than me, for helping me to book a room at Gurney Hotel with corporate rate for 4 days and 3 nights.. stayed there before school starts and wondered around at Guenry area.. Lots of stalls and food there esp at night and is highly recommended to those not from penang.. should try.. bout the room.. its really fantastic.. two beds, a big bathroom even with jakuzzi, a set of sofa with tv, dining table and also a writing table.. Guess how much is it? only RM 140 per night eh... cheaper than staying in Damai.. haha.. Thanks pal.. and also thanks to my mum and sis and also foster sis for coming here together with me.. for the support and also energy spent.. really do appreciate tat a lot.. guess wad?? i am writing this in the computer lab in my faculty... ClaSS CANCEL AGAIN!!! No LECTURER COME!!! this is the second day!! really hate this kinda happening.. waste of time... i think tats all from me for the time being..... tell u guys more bout penang after the round island trip maybe.. haha... oh ya.. most probably i wil be goin bac to kch in end of aug for mid sem hols as i have dropped the Police Cor.. so tat means no more training for me.. so sad.... very very sad for not being able to join tat... k lar.. see ya all then.. to those out there.. take good care of urself.. Life In Universiti Sains Malaysia, USM, Penang
The Big Grand HALL.. NAmed DTSP, My School and also Gurney walk at sunset...
Life In USM, Penang...
My contact address here is as follows:
Chong Kim Ching,

Universiti Sains Malaysia,
11800 USM Pulau Pinang.
Life in Uni? this has always been a question to myself for quite sometime.. how does it really feel to be in a university.. Now, tat i am already in USM, finally feels how it is to be in a Uni.. it is really quite fun here i would say, though it is quite tiring.. have to run here and there everywhere around the big campus with hills somemore.. tiring indeed.. and one very big difference here with schoolife is that here, we need to do everything ourselves.. even for course registration, need to fight with others.. limited seats.. late comers wil be left out.. have to fullfill credits for the sem.. and no one wil ask u like teachers in school, making sure that u have enough credits to graduate.. lots of things involve decision making here.. realy have to crack head and make the calmest decision.. considering now and future.. wad wil happen and wad are the consequences of each and every of our single action... even for co-curricular activities.. i wanted so much to joined the Kor Sukarelawan Siswa/Siswi Polis or its shortname is Suksis.. it is an package course of 3 yrs and we need to have 100% attendance and complete the whole course.. we wil learn arms education, arms usage and maintenance and the arms here involves handgun, MP5 and M16.. besides.. uniform wil be given free together with allowance.. Jungle trecking, map reading and lots more to learn!!! unfortunately, and luckily, i tought of my course has industrial training of 20 weeks and this means i wil have to miss 1 sem.. asked the commander of the force bout it, a nice guy indeed.. he suggested me to go for the interview since i passed the physical test and see hows it.. and said tat i might need to do 2 modules in one sem to complete it for my case.. wil be really packed then.. after discussion with seniors and also my academic advisor, they all advised me to drop it.. as they say Com Sc student wil have tons of assignment to do especially programming.. even sleeping in the lab.. thinking of it, and i think i really should put down all these activities and study wholeheartedly, as i had been busy with all these stuffs all along, finally i made the decison to drop it and save all the prob..and put all my attention in studies rather than all these.. though i liked this kinda activities so much!!! but life is like tat i think.. we cannot expect ourselves being able to do the things we like all the time..we need to face the fact and think calmly, make the best out of the worst.. tats my Rule of Life... Let go wad we need to let go and embrace ourselves for the future.. Look Ahead!! My future, wad wil i do is still very uncertain for the time being.. and this really makes me feel uneasy.. cant stand on a solid floor.. but i believe as times pass, i will see the way and be certain of it... to all my friends out there, esp those who jus entered uni like me, i hope for the best for u all too.. God Bless u all Always... take care and keep in touch..

Our FriendShip..
Our FriendShip..
So often I sit and think
about the way things were…
The fun and friend,
the joy we all had,
and the time of just being together……
Of course there were some days,
times we wondered how we made it.
But our friendship helped it through….
Now we may be separated,
but the bond is still there.
Our Friendship holds us
together…
forever…

~NOBODY WALKS ALONE~
~NOBODY WALKS ALONE~
Of times when the highway of life seems rough
And all of your dreams have flown,
Just remember wherever your road may go,
Nobody walks alone.
When everyone else has let you down,
And under your sins you groan,
Just keep reminding your burdened heart,
Nobody walks alone.
Then suddenly you’ll feel His hand in yours,
And His eyes lifting up your own,
And you’ll hear His gentle, forgiving voice:
“Nobody walks alone…..”
Nick Kenny
